Canva Craft Docs-only
Canva's own image model, built for designs with readable text
Good for: Social posts, posters and ads where the words in the image have to be spelled right.
Craft is Canva's in-house image model. Canva says it renders legible text, outputs at 2K across 30+ aspect ratios, and hands results to Magic Layers so you can edit pieces separately. It is in Dream Lab for everyone, so most people can try it inside a tool they already use.
Watch out: Quality rankings Canva cites come from a third-party leaderboard it chose; we have not tested it. Heavy use draws on Canva's AI usage limits.
Released Oct 22, 2026 · All Canva users, in Dream Lab

GPT-6.1 Terra in ChatGPT Docs-only
A faster OpenAI model for everyday computer tasks
Good for: Letting ChatGPT Work click through routine web and desktop chores faster on a Plus plan.
OpenAI pitches Terra as a fast, efficient model for visual reasoning, precise computer use and writing. It reaches Plus subscribers, not only top tiers, and its API price ($1 in, $5 out per million tokens) is low, which matters for the tools built on it.
Watch out: Speed and quality claims are OpenAI's own. Computer-use agents still make mistakes, so check anything that spends money or sends messages.
Released Oct 26, 2026 · ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Enterprise and Edu (ChatGPT Work and Codex); API

Notion Agents, rebuilt Docs-only Agent
Notion's agents get their own computer and browser and can run for 24 hours
Good for: Teams that live in Notion and want an agent to research, update pages and finish long chores in the background.
Notion rebuilt its agent harness. Agents now get their own computer and browser, a 'Review for me' mode with safety checks, and can work on tasks for up to 24 hours. Its Auto model router claims results close to frontier models at about 90% lower cost, and you can connect a ChatGPT plan to your personal agent.
Watch out: Notion moved all AI to a new credit system, so check what your plan includes. The 90% figure is Notion's own test.

ChatGPT Slides Docs-only
Build and edit decks with your team inside ChatGPT
Good for: Turning notes or a brief into a first-draft deck, then exporting it to PowerPoint or Google Slides.
Slides lets you create a deck in ChatGPT, edit it together with teammates and ChatGPT, present it there, or export it to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides. Export to the formats your office already uses makes it practical.
Watch out: Not on Free or Plus, so it is expensive for one person. We have not compared output quality against Gamma, our current slides pick.
Released Oct 16, 2026 · ChatGPT Pro, Business and Enterprise (not Plus)

Claude Duet Docs-only Agent
Anthropic's personal assistant agent that asks before it acts
Good for: Handing off inbox, calendar and booking chores while keeping a say before anything is sent, paid or deleted.
Duet works across your accounts and the web on iOS, Android and the web, and Anthropic says it checks with you before sending, paying or deleting. That approval step is the right default for a personal agent.
Watch out: US-only waitlist research preview, so most readers cannot use it yet. It needs broad account access; read the permissions first.
Released Oct 21, 2026 · Research preview, US Claude Pro and Max, waitlist

Kimi K3.1 Pro Docs-only
A big open-weight model with a 1M-token context, usable in the Kimi app
Good for: Reading and summarising very long documents or many files at once.
Moonshot says K3.1 Pro is its most capable open-weight model, with a 1-million-token context, plus a faster Highspeed version. It is available now in the Kimi app and API, and the weights are due by Nov 4, so other apps can host it too.
Watch out: Benchmarks are self-reported. Kimi is run by a Beijing-based company; check its data terms before uploading work files.
Released Oct 23, 2026 · Kimi.ai, Kimi Work, Kimi Code and API; open weights promised by Nov 4

Perplexity Computer, local on Mac Docs-only Agent
Perplexity's computer-use agent can now run entirely on your Mac
Good for: Mac users who want an agent to work through files and apps without sending them to the cloud.
Perplexity says Computer can now run fully locally on a Mac, which keeps files on your machine while the agent works. That is a real privacy plus for anyone wary of cloud agents.
Watch out: Needs a paid plan and a high-memory Mac (36 GB recommended). Local models are usually less capable than cloud ones; we have not measured the gap.
Released Oct 20, 2026 · Perplexity Pro, Max and Enterprise; Mac with 36 GB RAM recommended

ElevenLabs Eleven Realtime Docs-only Agent
Speech-to-speech models for voice agents that sound natural
Good for: Small businesses setting up a phone or website voice agent that answers in 90+ languages.
Eleven Realtime (v1 Mini and Max) is a speech-to-speech model family for voice agents. ElevenLabs says it handles 90+ languages and is available in its ElevenAgents builder as well as an OpenAI-compatible API, so you can set it up without code.
Watch out: Rolling out gradually, and usage-based pricing can add up on busy lines. Disclose to callers that they are talking to an AI.
Released Oct 20, 2026 · ElevenAgents and API, rolling out gradually

Apple Creator Studio AI update Docs-only
AI assistants come to Keynote, Pages and Numbers, plus Generate Fill in Pixelmator
Good for: Mac and iPad users who make decks, documents and photo edits in Apple's own apps.
Apple says its creative bundle gains assistants in Keynote, Pages and Numbers built on Apple models and OpenAI, generative fill in Pixelmator and an assistant in Logic (beta). If you already use these apps, you get AI help without learning a new tool.
Watch out: Announced, not shipped: nothing to try until November. Scored lower for that reason.
Released Oct 27, 2026 · Announced 27 Oct; ships in November 2026

Wabi 2.0 Docs-only Agent
An AI assistant that lives in your group chat
Good for: Planning a group trip or dinner where the assistant sorts options for everyone at once.
Wabi is built for groups: plan the trip, book the stay, split decisions in one chat, with home-screen widgets on iOS and Android. It is a different take from single-user assistants.
Watch out: A young product. The official site does not spell out pricing, and the 2.0 details come from press coverage; check what it can book before you rely on it.
